S-spray™
S-spray is a sensitive and remarkably stable TLC spray for thiols, applicable to both cellulose or silica layers. Compared to the classical use of 5,5'-dithiobis(2-nitrobenzoic acid) (Ellman's reagent), S-spray is more sensitive, the color does not fade in time and the reaction is almost unaffected by pH of the developing solvent. Detection limit, depending on spotting, is 1 nmol (patent pending).
